I coined the fart method "there is no spoon" based on a manuever one of my co-workers told me. He and his wife will be in bed when she will say she wants to cuddle and prepares her part of the spoon position. Just as he's moving towards her to snuggle up and finish the spoon, she pops out a poot and just starts laughing.

I think that in order for this fart technique to be more effective, you want the fart itself to be a quick rip, the louder the better.
